Successful websites live and breathe. The content is fresh and appealing, updated regularly and maintains the viewer's interest encouraging repeat visits to the website. This requires a way to easily manage content.

For our own website, Xansoft uses Joomla!, an open source content management system (CMS) available in its current form since 2007. There are several other solutions available but Joomla can be readily customised to many requirements and there are a wealth of Joomla extensions available. We believe Joomla! is a good way to get something up and running quickly. Then website owners can produce their own content and easily manage its publication.

Joomla! is free software available under the GNU/GPL licence and many of the templates and extensions are also free. There are commercial extensions for the more serious applications.
